We are home!

Hello everyone,

We made it home! The flight was very long and we were so glad to finally arrive in Oklahoma City! Maya did pretty well on the flights, but it was a long and exhausting experience. Maya was officially a citizen when we landed at our first American airport, so Detroit was it! I am including some pictures of our Detroit layover. I think Maya looks pretty good. You will notice that Allen and I are NOT in any of these photos. We did not look nearly so refreshed, that is for sure!

We spent last week trying to get Maya adjusted to Oklahoma time. This was very challenging for the first few days. As we were trying to get ourselves in order and things put away, Maya was up all night! She is finally sleeping at night and we are too. This is  a big relief for all of us!

We have also had a lot of fun introducing Maya to family and friends. It has been so interesting to see how much she has changed in such a short time. She has begun to be more inquisitive about toys and what things do. She is also starting to be more vocal and opinionated about what she wants and what she does NOT want.

We have brought her with us on various shopping trips and outings and she has done really well. I have been looking forward to bringing her on the Walk for the Cure for some years now and she did this and enjoyed it. Photos are on Mom's camera...

Physically, she is changing too. Her body is becoming so much stronger. She is very close to crawling and will probably crawl any day now! I hope I don't miss it - I went back to work on Monday!

This weekend, Allen's folks are visiting. We will take photos and add an update!

Thanks so much to all family and friends. This has been such a memorable experience and I have enjoyed sharing it with all of you! I am so glad that so many of you have enjoyed reading the blog!
